This wouldn’t happen if they just drove on the right side of the road.

I mean, aren’t they always puckered? It’s a sphincter...

Quite satisfying to hear the use of a horn calling out the bad driving in many of these clips. Here in America, these encounters often happen silently, without any sign of protest.

#1, now I have no purpose in keeping my saved dashcam vids.

#2, WHO THE HELL HITS THE BRAKES AFTER TURNING IN FRONT OF SOMEONE AND CUTTING THEM OFF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

#3, to all those who would claim we should make our lanes narrower and lower the speed limits, to whom, dependent on the circumstances (TO’s Gardiner Expressway springs to mind—badly in need of extra lanes) they had in mind, I would have given thoughtful consideration prior to watching this video, I now say NO. 5:57 for clip in question, but there were several.

#4, no more complaining about people using merge lanes to pass in traffic, mmmkay. Not when we have people blocking the ONCOMING LANES to do the same thing.

#5, related to #2—these people who inadvertently cut someone off (come on we’ve all done it, though some more/worse than others), WHY OH WHY is their first reaction to make ANOTHER sudden lane change back to where they started instead of flooring the gas? (Referring to the ones like 7:36 where they’re already in the lane, not the ones who catch themselves at the last minute and jump back out of the way)

#6, @7:57 Is it odd that the guy who really gets me is the Range Rover? The Merc is an idiot, yes, but the first move is close to perfect, if it wasn’t for the unnecessary little stab of brakes on the way in. Second move shows a lack of foresight... or does it? I’ve jumped out of lanes and then back in just for the change in perspective it gives. Of course, I’m usually trying to look past the trailer rather than at it... But while his moves are stupid, selfish and dangerous, I can’t label them as incompetent. The RR, on the other hand... WHY do they feel the need to brake as the Merc goes past? That to me betrays a driver that I’d get away from as fast as possible.

#7, LOL cop with a blind pass

#8, while I prefer just to take the next exit, I have no problems with people cutting the tip off the exit divider markings... but the people who leave it so late that they could touch the barriers on the way by and still think it’s a good idea... well frankly they scare me.

#9, people who can’t keep it in their lane when turning. Grrrrr. I hope you at least keep it in your pants.

#10, @10:33-10:41. Well done. Stupid, but well done. I’ll just leave this here. I have an appreciation for the lack of hesitation.

Doubly true here in Omaha. I feel like I’m the only one who knows where the horn button is.

For some of those, you could be more right than you think... I mean, Europe drives opposite to UK, so it wouldn’t be unthinkable to have some confused people sometimes just reverting to instinct.

My driving reflexes are pretty good, but I’m still a little “slow on the draw” when it comes to horn use. I want it to be an instant reaction to bonehead maneuvers like you see in that video.

I was thinking more along the lines of that must be what the world looks like when your face is buried in your phone . (Although for this particular clip, it’s the other car that acted obliviously.)

In many countries (Israel, from my experience) the driving position is not 10 and 2 but rather 10 and clock face.

@7:57, the clip looks to be sped up, and I have no point of reference to judge whether the Benz was going too fast, or if the Rover was going too slow.

Both of their merging techniques appear to be lacking, though. The Benz’s moves look overly impatient, and I don’t see a turn signal from the Rover marking his intention to get out of the passing lane.

Absolutely. Both idiots. All I was saying is... the one that bugs me most is the RR braking for no reason. The Merc driver is an impatient douce. At least that is how he will be judged by his driving. The RR betrays a streak of incompetence. That bothers me more.

As can I. Which doesn’t make it smart.

Pretty sure most people cover a full range of boneheaded moves in their driving lives... I just hope mine aren’t as extreme as those in this video.

Whenever I see these I wish I had a dashcam.

Last week alone, I had someone coming at me in the wrong lane to get by traffic. I didnt move, stopped and held my horn. He got out to fight, here in Canada, people dont have guns. I got out (I’m a pretty big dude) and he went back in his car, went around me on the sidewalk, still on the wrong side and was lit up by the popo.
